More than 150 leisure, attractions, tourism, and entertainment professionals gathered in Dubai for an in-depth visit to Dubai’s fast developing leisure landscape
Last week, the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) brought together key attractions industry professionals from the Middle East and Europe for an extensive education and networking event. The IAAPA Europe, Middle East, Africa Winter Forum offered industry professionals unique insights into the rapidly developing Dubai tourism and attractions landscape and featured behind-the-scenes tours of some of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) attractions, including Bollywood Parks Dubai, City Walk Dubai, Ferrariworld Abu Dhabi, Global Village Dubai, Legoland Dubai, and Motiongate Dubai. The event took place Jan. 31 – Feb. 2 in Dubai.
The event attracted 150 attractions and leisure professionals from around the world comprised of operators, managers, developers, and suppliers. Attendees represented German, Italy, France, Singapore, United States, and the gulf coast countries.
The event began with an opening session, which highlighted the industry development and the associations’ future involvement in the Middle East. Experts at the tour facilities provided participants with insight into how the attractions came to fruition and details about the unique aspects of operating in the region.
“The facilities involved in our first-ever IAAPA Europe, Middle East, Africa Winter Forum are incredibly knowledgeable and inspiring,” said IAAPA’s Senior Vice President of IAAPA Europe, Middle East, Africa. “We are grateful for the warm welcome and we appreciate their willingness to open their doors and provide us with a glimpse into the future of the attractions industry in the region. Our team looks forward to continuing to grow and strengthen our support of area IAAPA members.”
